Loerke

Loerke was foaled in 1995, licensed in 1997 at Verden, where he was purchased by Dr. Bade for the national state stud at Celle. He completed the eleven month long performance test for the Celle stallions and finished 8th overall. Loerke is by Lauries Crusador xx, an English Thoroughbred improvement sire and arguably the most successful and influential Thoroughbred stallion in the Hanoverian breed today. Jahrbuch Hengste ’05 lists Weltmeyer in the Top List of stallions siring riding horse qualities with an index of 146 and 4th in the Top List of stallions siring dressage qualities with an index of 162.

Loerke is out of SPS Worlddream by Weltmeyer – Triple Crown champion and 6th on the Top List of stallions siring riding horse qualities with an index of 159 and 5th in the Dressage list with an index of 179. This combination makes Loerke the product of a conformation and riding horse marriage made in heaven. His direct mother line descends from the legendary DLG Champion SPS Fluegelpalme, which is also the direct mother line of the Grand Prix Dressage Hanoverian stallion Domingo. At the 2001 Hanoverian inspection at Some Day Soon Farm, Loerke’s filly out an Adios III mare owned by Randy Dauphin and our own Loerke colt out of a Grundstein mare, were chosen as site champion filly and colt.
